Aerating and Over Seeding

Core Aeration involves perforating the soil with small holes to allow air, water and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots. This helps the roots grow deeply and produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn.

Aerating your lawn allows water and nutrients to easier penetrate the soil and perform better which results in a better looking lawn.

The grass area needs to be aerated if: it has heavy traffic, has thick areas of thatch, dries out quickly, or looks poorly. Our area of East Tennessee is mainly clay so you will need aeration twice a year in this area, once in the spring and once in the fall for the best results.

Seeding

After you get your lawn aerated is important to fill the plug holes by spreading grass seed. The seed will be chosen to match your current grass and blend in well.

After the seed is spread it is best to put down started fertilizer to ensure growth and a healthy lawn.

If you combine lawn aeration and seeding with weekly lawn mowing you will see a great looking lawn with green grass. Choose the right professional when you need aeration and seeding.
